THE LIVING ROOM APPEAL

The Living Room is a recovery day centre offering free, long-term support to people affected by addiction of all kinds. There is no charge to attend, no time limit, and no one is turned away.

The Living Room now needs your help.

Over the past year, we made a conscious decision to leave Adferiad Recovery so that we could reclaim our independence and protect what makes the Living Room distinctive — its all-addictions approach, its philosophy, and the way it works with people. That independence matters, but it also means we must now prove that we can stand securely on our own.

We are therefore asking friends and supporters to commit to just £10 a month for one year, starting in April 2026.

We have successfully supported the Living Room through its first independent year. To qualify for future public funding for specific projects, we must now do the same for a second year. Our Trustees have set a target of £35,000 by April 2027.

If enough of us give just £10 a month, we can meet that target together and ensure the Living Room continues to offer free, open-ended support to those who need it most.

Details of how to set up your monthly donation are enclosed, also a Gift Aid form which must be completed by you, if you’re eligible to pay tax, and returned to us at the address which is at the bottom of the Gift Aid form.

Thank you for considering this request, and for any support you feel able to give.

With gratitude,

Wynford Ellis Owen

Founder & CEO to the Living Room.

P.S. By supporting this appeal, you are helping protect an independent approach to recovery — one that puts people before processes and time limits.
